We had a great group out for girls' Bible study!

Thanksgiving '13

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know I sure did! It was a wonderful times spent with family and friends. One of the special things about the day was that we got to use my great-grandma's china! I had so much fun setting it all up!

I wanted to take advantage of this Thanksgiving season to teach the kids what it means to be thankful. I made a thankful tree and we spent many afternoons coloring leaves, asking them what they were thankful for, writing it on the leaf, and letting them glue it on the tree. I also made up a little song about thankfulness and taught them "In every thing give thanks." It was a fun craft for the month of November, and a great way to teach the kids to be thankful!

Insta{friday}

Wow, I was looking back to see when I last did insta{friday} and it's been 2 months ago! Here's a peek at what's been going on the past couple months.

{Happy 3rd Birthday, Braxton!}

{Proof. Not all of my baking turns out. Coffee cake a la mess anyone? At least it tastes good!}

{'Jeff Gordon' has been hanging out at my house this week ;)}

{Pretty coffee}

{Awesome time at Ladies SPARK!}

{Costumes for Ladies Retreat - theme was Somewhere In Time}

{1 Corinthians 1:26, 27a - we don't have to be anything special for God to use us...just be willing!}

{At last, I've found true love <3 #growaboyfriend}

{'Date night' at the park #takeout #stargazing #itscold}

{*oh, what a beautiful morning!* Psalm 118:24 - This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.}

{Saw a commercial today for a pancake pan...been craving them ever since! #bananapancakes}

{From Braxton :) I remember being highly offended when I was younger that some little girl was picking flowers out of our yard! Little did I know they were actually considered weeds! Haha}

{Passed the half-way point! No matter how many times I read through the Bible, I always find 'new' things. #livingBook #foodforthesoul #newtestamentin60days}

Let's See...

What have I been up to lately?

It snowed! ... and then it melted :(

Spending time with my kiddos...I can't believe he's almost 3!

Going on 'adventures'

Literally a month after this conversation, Amy announced that she was pregnant! Gift of prophecy perhaps? Haha...I kid, I kid...but seriously, how funny is that! I can't wait to meet this little one in July!

We made bird feeders out of pine cones, peanut butter and bird seed

Enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends...along with some delicious desserts like this Caramel Cappuccino Cheesecake...Mmm!

Today we spent the afternoon in search of the perfect Christmas tree!

It was fun being up in the snow! In some places it was knee deep!

A Day With Dad

Mom & Maggie are out of town once again...ahem. Since it's Saturday, and neither one of us have to work...what to do, what to do...

It's a beautiful day out...how about the lake? We decided it would be fun to take Charlie with us. It was his first time riding in the boat and I was unsure how that was going to go since he *loves* to swim. I opted to leave my camera in the truck just in case he decided to jump out of the boat and take us with him. :) Charlie did make one attempt to get in the water, but thankfully he was on the leash so I was sure to pull him back in. Lol We made our way across the lake and let Charlie swim while we batted off the army of flies. Oh, and let's not forget that dad hit his leg getting out of the boat and now has what looks like two knees on one leg...poor guy!

Here we are getting ready to head home and rest before the next event!

Monster Truck Show (plus mud bogging and racing)!

Look who else was there!

Thanks, Dad, for such a fun day!

Hello Monday?

Hello Monday. Oh wait...it's Thursday. Is it just me or does anyone else think today feels like Monday? Having a holiday in the middle of the week kinda throws off your schedule.

Hello Thursday! It was a beautiful, yet hot day...and it's only going to get warmer with the weekend...100+!

Hello Oatmeal Bake...definitely a yummy start to the morning. We enjoyed our breakfast even more so by having a picnic per Braxton's request. :)

Hello pooltime. Not only do you provide entertainment, but you help keep us cool with the heat.

Hello mini corndog muffins. Enjoyable lunch for both child and adult.

Hello sunshine...I'm soaking up as much as I can.

Hello cute little feet. Why can't my feet look as cute as his? ;)

Hello garden. You are growing wonderfully...I'm looking forward to enjoying the many things you're beginning to grow!

Hello lavender. Beautiful.

Hello umbrella. Thanks for providing some much needed shade.

Hello popsicle lips and arm. You're cute.

Quote of the day...
While sitting in the pool, Braxton says to me, "Let's take a break and visit."

I sure do love that kid!
